This project critiques hyper-consumer culture’s environmental effects through four posters and a video. Featuring edited litter images, sale slogans, and animations, it highlights society’s obsession with excess and suggests a slow path toward environmental recovery.

"Consumerism" deals with the impact of the hyper-consumer life of today’s society on the environment. It consists of 4 posters and a video, pointing to the constant encouragement of people to own more and more. Each poster is addressing a specific issue tied to consumerism. Accompanied by boldly edited photographs of litter found in my neighbourhood and recognizable sale slogans, they serve as a visual commentary on our propensity for unnecessary ownership. The video is a dynamic version of static posters, incorporating elements like found footage, After Effects animations, and personal clips. Set to a deliberately slowed-down and edited track (Plague by Crystal Castles), the video points to a slow solution to the environmental problems caused by the surplus in our society.
